Donovan Mitchell's Clutch Free Throw Leads Cavs to Victory
Cleveland Ends Three-Game Skid with 115-111 Win Over Bulls
Chicago, IL (February 14, 2024)
After having their nine-game win streak snapped on Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers bounced back with a hard-fought 115-111 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. Caris LeVert led the way for the Cavs with 23 points, while Kevin Love added 20 points and nine rebounds. Donovan Mitchell chipped in with 30 points, including the go-ahead free throw with just over a minute remaining in the game.
The Bulls were led by DeMar DeRozan's 29 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Cavs' balanced attack. Darius Garland also had a solid game for Cleveland, finishing with 18 points and eight assists.
The Cavs improved to 37-19 with the win, while the Bulls dropped to 26-29. The victory was the Cavs' 18th in the past 20 games and boosted their lead in the Eastern Conference to 2.5 games over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Cavs will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Brooklyn Nets. The Bulls will also be back in action on Friday night when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
